I’m getting ready to turn 30 and I’ve always missed the past but nothing like I do now. I think when we turn 30 it’s a whole realization that we’re getting older. We’re homesick for a place. We could never go back to homesick for a place that feels so long ago.

This song and the caption, just made me interpret this song entirely different. Instead of the returning to the house that built us, we return to the past version of ourselves that built us. This song is like new me talking to old me. And old me doesn’t recognize who I am now. Not longing for a moment of the past, but longing for who I was.
