With all the medical practitioners/technology, the high amount of people diagnosed and those that carry it not knowing asymptomatically in the world. Why on earth isn’t there more research. Why can’t they develop a simple swab test to know whether people are shedding the virus in order to have safe sex and not pass it on. This would resolve a huge amount of the mental health burden with this virus. People could be intimate without the stress if they are going to pass it on. People wouldn’t have to disclose if they have the virus because they have no symptoms and are 100% sure they aren’t asymptomatically shedding. Bit of a no brainer. They could develop a covid test in a matter of a year. But can’t develop a hsv2 test ????

I dont know if it's have herpes I did two test its positive and another negative the one positive shows its on they border line doctor trying to say I in build enough antibody yet but thing is its my first and my sore already goibg in four days should I retest

I've had it for over 10 years, since I was 22. The stigma is the worst part, but I've had really good luck in dating and even been married since. Won't lie though, being single again now has me thinking about it a bit. Sucks, but I know it'll be alright. Thank you for sharing so openly.

a blood test is not a way to know !!! you should know that !! it can be positive does not mean you have the virus !!
