@sprites_music1: People keep asking where her melodies come from, what she’s thinking as she plays, and how she coordinates her hands while new musical ideas appear in the moment. Some imagine she must see the notes in her mind, or hear angels whispering them to her. But it isn’t like that. Sprites says she rarely thinks about the music while she improvises. Instead, she slips into something closer to a meditative state where her thoughts are allowed to wander. They drift by like clouds and could be about anything: the stories she invents with her figurines, her next crafting project, or even what she loves to eat. While the music flows right through her like an unblocked stream of creativity. Thinking about it would only interrupt her free flow. She is channeling the music by keeping the path open without any expectations, control or effort. It is something that happens below the level of conscious thought. Her hands simply move. Sometimes it even looks as if they’re being guided, tugged along by a force within her… or just beyond her. ✨We are currently recording Sprites debut album.
