LITERALLY I just recently joined volleyball and my Tia has non stop been on me that I’m losing my love for my religion because I’m so focused on my sports and its honestly so tiring

No because I like being able to believe in something but it was so forced on me so now I just question everything now, like do i believe because i truly believe in a god or do I believe because that’s what i was taught

I had to get confirmed and the environment was so toxicccc. I had to take classes every Saturday for two years and I had to go to retreats and wake up at like 5 in the morning and if we didn’t do volunteer hours or go to the retreats and do homework , they would tell us that weren’t gonna get confirmed. Mind you a lot of us were teenagers so not only did we have school but jobs and other things. Don’t get me wrong I believe in God and I love volunteering but when it is forced upon me, it makes me feel like I am not a good person and we were all miserable. They were all trying to act like it was the best thing ever and that we just have to manage our time but bro like it made me feel horrible

they’re unable to understand that everyone has their own spiritual journey. reminding ur child is one thing, but berating them when they don’t practice their faith the same way u do is another

I truly love my religion but my dad keeps forcing it on me (going to church, family prayers etc..) I believe God has a plan/journey for me, different from my father’s own. And he just can’t seem to accept that. Or the fact I wanna go on my own pace.

im not ready for church camp plus my Air Force sister just came home to visit and the whole time we’re at camp is the time she’s gonna be here and when we leave and come back she’s gonna be gone. I mean we can do church camp next year but we might never see my sister for a long time. They are forcing me to go and im socially awkward and i socially distance myself. Like I believe in Christianity but don’t force me because im losing my faith
