gry :
I had to go to a gynecologist to get mine removed, because my uterus and cervix is retroverted and my general doctor couldn't remove it.
It was unpleasant and painful, but I pulled through.
My gynecologist, who's definitely a very old schooled type of woman, who seems to give zero fluffs about anything beeing unpleasant, afterwards told me she was quite impressed - she was on the verge to recommend me to undergo full anesthesia in the hospital because it was so difficult, and she didnt think i should go through so much pain. But i have a high pain tolerance and I pulled through.
What I'm trying to say is, Danish gynecologists don't accept pain beeing a part of women's health. If you experience pain, they will try to relieve it, because you shouldn't associate your abdomen with pain. even the old schooled doctors, who might deem some discomfort as silly, don't think you need to go through it.
So if a doctor deems it necessary for you to get an local anaesthetica, just appreciate you have a good doctor, who's looking out for your wellbeing.
