I would’ve thought it just rewards for them pulling, but I’ll give this a try. He’s not the worse puller, however it’s like he rather be on that end, keeping tight leash.

Did this with my Doberman from puppyhood and now I have a dog that can walk on a loose leash on her flat. I still use my balanced tools in certain situations but it was so important to me that I have dogs that can walk nicely without them.

Is “good boy” instead of “yes” a good cue word? I say “good boy” for almost everything he does right aka being good during haircuts (done at home), good leash walking, etc etc

what if your dog is too excited about walking to where she'd rather keep walking (further ahead and pulling the leash) then stopping to eat a treat or anything? only way I can get her back to me is by shortening my grip on the leash or by calling her
