There’s a running joke in our family, a quote from my daughter when she was in 3rd grade “this is why you don’t get invited to birthday parties.” The principal shopped parents and grandparents trying to find someone who was at least surprised she said it or believed we could get her to apologize. His behavior WAS why he didn’t get invited to birthday parties. She WAS right. He HAD asked. The apology was never going to happen.
