I've been doing it for 40 years $25 an hour plus parts minimum one hour and I don't mark up the parts so there's that

Good for you I guess, but that’s why you would only get me once. The mechanic I go to charges a pretty high rate but if it’s a quick fix or easy diagnosis (sometimes he tells me when I’m dropping it off what he believes the problem is) he will charge me a lesser amount and I appreciate that and bring other things to him. I also recommend him to everyone I know who asks if I know a good mechanic.

I just paid $285 to get my Craftsman snowblower repaired. New carb (original equipment, not foreign) oil, filter, plug & adjustments. Not happy but 1st time in 8 years. Runs perfectly

How about tire work? What do you charge to change a mower tire? Or install a tube? This is a pain point for us bc they are a pain to do but ppl always complain about price

I paid $200 for my lawn mower. local repair shop was asking 270 to fix it. The shop or not I can't be a good support for you. A YouTube video show me how to fix it.

The problem is the quality of the product keep going down hill so there’s less value in repairing it

Never attempt to justify your charges. If someone asks you tell them “I’m worth it.”

We all know people have overhead to pay, but some people just overcharge. I have never been to your shop so I cannot actually say.

minimum 110/hr minimum half hour. 15 minute diagnostic fee $30 drop off fee up front. most push mowers don't get repaired. I thinking of upping the diagnostic time with the technology putting on the equipment. we have bills to pay also
