I imagine this as the wire is their dream to be pro heros together, not just side by side but always competing for the number one spot. Bakugo is always going to hold onto that dream of being number one, but so desperately doesnt want Izuku to let go, because even if he doesnt want to admit it thats his friend and greatest rival. Eventually Izuku let's go of that dream, because of losing one for all. Bakugo stays holding onto that wire so desperately, in hopes one day, Izuku returns to continue their dream (hence where the suit comes in).
