Golden bars are quite well because you can sell and invest in something else :)

My mum gave 80 tolas of zewar to my ex 18 years ago. She kept all of it following our divorce. Now I’m going Pakistan this week to get married again and im finding it hard to buy a simple haar set. Gutted.

My parents got me a gold set when I was younger and at the time I didn’t really understand why….I’m a hijabi so gold earrings and a necklace like that couldn’t be worn everyday. But then I got gold bracelets, a necklace and a ring during my teen years despite everyone telling me it was a waste and I don’t regret anything. I’m grateful my parents thought ahead because that gold set they got me nearly 9 years ago is worth a lot more now but I also have dainty pieces I wear daily that cost a fortune to buy now🙈

I know your wedding pieces must be sentimental to you but the value of them has certainly increased so you can trade them in for things you 24ct gold or 22ct with no stones in so atleast you can wear it and it still holds value

Avoid gem stones etc as you pay the same as the price of gold when buying.

if your not bothered about sentimental value or passing it down to daughters. then mayb sell it and buy wearable gold, with minimal stones 👌🏽. I know its a big decision to make x
