There's a difference between saying something offensive and saying something that someone else finds offensive. One should be apologized for and the other shouldn't have to be.

How do you handle it when your partner expects an apology but you truly don't think you did anything wrong? I say "the sky is blue" and partner says he's hurt that I don't agree that it's orange. IMO he's weaponizing his "need" to be right and needs me agree w him all of the time.
