nail techs this is NOT worth the risk of lung cancer or leukemia!! frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals is significantly increased when using an airbrush and gel polishes. If you are using the method you would need a professional respirator mask and fume hood for it to be considered safe. we already breathe in so much dust and chemicals as it is!!😭 love, a nail tech and oncology RN 🫶🏼💕

It’s not recommended to use gel polish+acetone because there’s uncured gel being spread into the air that you and the client then breathe in 😬 it’s better to use acrylic airbrush specific paint

alot of hate towards gel and acetone, but let’s be real…clients want specific colors for airbrush and they don’t sell those airbrush colors in each color and we also can’t afford or waste time on these specific colors. Her tutorial is something EVERY nail tech does or every nail salon you’ll go to. Everyone has their own way, patting gel, airbrush, or color mixed airbrush colors. Let’s not hate when she is helping girlies who ONLY have this option as it’s the easiest

Honestly it is not THAT harmful especially to clients who have a one time exposure. One, I wear a mask and so will my client. Secondly Every tech should wipe around the nail cleaning the skin to avoid contact dermatitis, AND wiping down the area after each client. 🤷♀️

Breathing in uncured gel polish is basically chemically burning your lungs 🤦🏽♀️I honestly don’t know why this isn’t common knowledge amongst nail techs. It’s literally so bad fml. Use acrylic paint with a little water or proper airbrush fluid
