I can also tell when people/acquaintances want to be closer friends with me and they come up to me and try to have a conversation, but I am just so… I don’t even know. It’s not “awkward” necessarily. It’s a complete lack of knowing how to get past the barrier of uncomfortable meaningless conversation. Once I get past that wall, it’s great, but getting past it is a huge hurdle for me.

Solution is living in a house with the people you like most. Sure my house has 7 adults in it but we all mostly sit in our rooms and stay quiet but also when I go to the kitchen my best friend comes in long enough to keep me company while I make a sandwich.

One solution we have come up with is gaming together. We have one game in particular that we play together online so, we’re “together”, but we’re both in our personal comfort zone. It’s not perfect, but it helps❤️

That’s why I love my best friend. We have not seen eachother in more than a year. We make plans that we know we will never keep. We text and call when our brains aren’t both overwhelmed.
