@jesistracham: I joke about the hard stuff because that’s how I cope. If I don’t laugh at it, it gets heavy real fast. I absolutely asked in rehab if they could just chop my legs off. They kindly informed me they’re actually counterweights and help me balance without core control. Anatomy. Cool. Still have to lift weights so I’m strong enough to lift em. (Thank goodness for the @wheelwithmeadaptfit app’s wheelchair workouts to follow!) Humor keeps me from spiraling. It keeps me focused on what’s right instead of what’s wrong. And what’s right? My life is full. I’m happy. I’m loved. And I’m living a damn good life. Sometimes you laugh because it’s hard. And sometimes you laugh because you’ve already won. 💙 #wheelwithme #wheelchair #paralyzed
