The impact Skyress had on Shun is extremely emotional and genuine. A gift from a mother, and now that his mom is gone Skyress must’ve been the last connection he had to his mom. A beacon of hope that his mom is always watching over him and for her to want to remain in her home is also something deeply important. It’s true when they say if you love something set it free.
