As a prospect he’s closer to someone like Bo nix than joe burrow. I don’t think he has any huge red flags but he doesn’t really shock me anywhere. i think he’ll be a decent starter in a good situation but if he goes to the raiders its a bad fit unless they drastically improve their o-line.

This is such an impossible position to be in though man. Because if you pass on Mendoza and he turns around another franchise then that gets you fired too. And what else are your options at QB if you’re the Raiders? Malik Willis? Tanner McKee? You only get the 1-1 pick once in a generation. Feel like you have to take Mendoza and try your hardest to develop him and surround him with a good oline.

Mendozas pretty interesting in that he already got the “cerebral, fundamental” tag around the league when he’s really neither of those things as an actual QB. His footwork is downright awful at times. Still disagree with the take overall, he’s absolutely the pick for Vegas.
