I don’t think buying a mattress for pack and plays is considered safe, as sizing can be difficult and baby could get stuck in the cracks/crevice

I used the dream on me pack and play mattress! but I'm betting you could also do a mini crib mattress if the dimensions are correct

I just got my 8 month old a softer mattress designed for the pack and play. I think I’d put a newborn on the harder surface.

We did this with Kash when he was first born and lived in California! We didn’t get a mattress.

I put my little man in a pack and play bassinet beside the bed and he barely slept in it. I moved his crib into our room and he slept perfectly fine in it and he’s almost 6 months now and he’s been sleeping in there since 3 months

It is not safe sleep to get a mattress for the pack n play. I believe every manual even states not to add extra padding.

We did the same thing, greatest decision! & I’ve got one that the side comes down on and you can attach it to your bed frame

My packnplay says in the instructions to never add any padding or mattress to it. If it's not in the instructions, I would take the cautious route.
