For all of these comments saying “ you can’t discipline your children blah blah” you absolutely CAN discipline your children, which includes spanking. What you CANT do is leave marks on your child. I have a 15yo daughter as well as a 11yo daughter and then 2 younger daughters. There comes a certain age that physical discipline is no longer appropriate, if it continues it is no longer discipline in my eyes it then becomes a way to humiliate or degrade them which is just going to cause the behavior to worsen. You must have respect for your children if you expect them to respect you. You must treat them with the respect you wish to get. the mother stated she has spoiled the girl which I’m assuming means there was no discipline until the child got out of hand and then she wanted to try dicipline which by then it’s too late. Dicipline must start early on which in the toddler years typically only means consequences like 2/3

This is disgraceful. Now we are supposed to be afraid of parenting and protecting ourselves when attacked. Geez, I guess my grandmother who beat the crap out of my booty with a wooden spoon or paddle should have been arrested. I wasn’t abused by the way, and I learned young about consequences.

It is a sad world when you can’t discipline your child they can swing and hit the parent, but you can’t. So then they grow up to be like what’s on the street right now that is protesting and violence. What a shame.
