Why cant they be cart ruts? We have waggon ruts that look the same cut into the limestone from the Chislom Trail in Central Texas. I belive the same was done with the Oregon Trail in sections.

Guys It’s not harden mud, its actual rock limestone to be specific. I woked there for 5 years in road construction and found these on a daily basis

it's in bedrock? which was never mud nor was any other actual stone... but if it was carts, you wouldn't take the same path perfectly and I would assume 1000s of years

saw some guy with glasses say this was cart ruts in clay/volcanic ash clay during and eruption, rain. they where evacuating, thats why they head to the water. then then pyroclastic ash avalanche hardened the clay?
