For my area $15-$23. In my opinion yes to insurance and vacation time.

Somewhere around the $16-18 hr mark for starting out. Maybe a small bonus for meeting quota for the month. Compensation package, 40 hours PTO time. This is for sick days/time off. This gives them the option to be paid if the shop is closed. For a skilled detailer, $23-26 an hour. Same PTO plan, as that should be based on tenure. Provide basic tools to complete the job to the level of quality the shop requires. This is obviously scaled to the size of the business and what their operating income potential is. Good labor isn’t cheap. Cheap labor isn’t good.

id say starting with 0 experience $15/hr, 5 hours a month of PTO. experienced $25 with up to 8 hrs pto biweekly. have a cap on PTO, like a max of 160 hours after 1 year with the business. offer insurance and what ever else, I don't know the split on those items, but i know its expensive.
