So guys, from close observation, what I’ve seen is that he starts by shuffling the deck and remembering the bottom card’s number (while the deck is facing up, because that was the bottom card when the cards were face up, but when he turns the deck face down, it becomes the top card). Then he grabs three cards “randomly,” but he actually picks the ones right before another 3 and sneakily slides the 3 onto the table instead of the cards he supposedly chose.
Then he “shuffles” the deck, but he’s misleading us because he never actually grabs the real top card and puts it into the middle, since that card is the 3. It looks like he grabs the top card, but he’s really shuffling all the cards above the 3 and eventually placing the 3 back on top. That’s a very difficult skill, especially with the way he shuffled it.
