My parents divorced and were great parents to us and great to each other still to this day. They get along together. That’s what made the divorce easy for me

I'll go on record as saying that my ex and I divorced 12-13 years ago. Barely speak a word to each other ever. Especially year 1-8. Talked about the kids when needed. But I will say that we BOTH did an amazing job as "parents". I always said we glad goals for our children when we were together, those goals shouldn't change because we're apart. My kids are my world. They have grown into amazing young people. They are all in healthy relationships themselves. They love love. They love their partners. Their mom remarried. I'm with my GF 8+ years and to this day barely speak with my ex but my kids are LOVED by all involved and they've thrived thru it all. If I knew my kids would turn out the way they did at this point in their lives. I would go through that pain and misery and financial burden of divorce 1 million times over for them to turn out to be the people they are today. I can credit my ex-wife and her husband a large majority of their upbringing, but I certainly credit myself for being there EVERY step of the way. I NEVER EVER EVER missed one event of theirs. EVER EVER. And guess what, I never will.

Don’t agree with this my parents hardly fought, but it wrecked what was my happy situation and completely changed it. My parents divorce messed my stability and happiness messed me up a little

My parents stay together their entire lives. They were unhappy and they raised us that way I remember when I was younger my brother and I used to beg to my mom to get a divorce

God didn’t condone divorce unless otherwise. You make a covenant to god with your spouse. You brreak it because your just simply unhappy is not what you want to doz there’s.no honor in that.

I couldn't agree more!!! Its the inability of both parents to put their kids first and set up the best possible version of co-parenting. I know its possible cuz ive done it and continue to do it, both in other relationships and we are all friends with each other and we have 50/50 custody and are always flexiblefor each other when possibleespeciallyover school holidays. My son has bonus parents on both sides. Hes gained more love, not less!

There's a difference between I made a mistake. We're getting a divorce and things have changed and two people agreeing that a divorce is the best option while maintaining everything you already do for the children
