@not_nirvana_yet: Ryoan-ji is a Zen temple of the Rinzai school and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kyoto. Known for its rock garden, but what stayed with me was the stillness🧘🏻 Yes, it’s a tourist spot, but it’s also a place of prayer. Especially in front of the garden, quiet feels essential🙏🏼🫧 One detail I keep coming back to is the stone basin engraved with “我唯足知-Ware tada taru wo shiru” a reminder to recognize what is already sufficient, and to live with appreciation for what we have🪷 Simple. Grounded. Something I try to carry with me. 📍Getting here can be a bit tricky. Best to use Google Maps — bus or Randen train, depending on where you are.
