If you’ve been asking me how to become an Automation Specialist and learn it from scratch… 👇 Here’s what I actually did: 1. I learned the basics first. I took an automation course instead of trying to learn everything from random videos. 2. I picked ONE platform to focus on. Don’t jump between 10 different tools. Learn one automation platform and understand how workflows, triggers, actions, and integrations work. 3. I started copying simple workflows. Lead comes in → information gets saved → notification gets sent. Simple things like that. 4. I practiced by building my own workflows. Even if there was no client yet, I created a practice scenarios and tried to automate them. 5. I got comfortable with getting stuck 😂 Because you WILL get stuck. That’s when I used tutorials, documentation, Claude and ChatGPT help to figure out what I was doing wrong. 6. Then I started building more complex workflows. And honestly? I didn’t become good because I watched hundreds of hours of tutorials. I became better because I kept BUILDING. So if you’re starting from zero: Don’t learn everything at once. Pick one platform. Learn the fundamentals. Build simple workflows. Break things. Fix them. Repeat. You’ll be surprised how much you can learn in 30–60 days when you actually practice.
