@digitalnepalofficial: India has announced a grant of 800 crore Indian rupees for Nepal in its latest annual budget. The allocation matches last year's initial commitment, reaffirming continued financial support from New Delhi. Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in Parliament, where Nepal's grant figure was officially listed. In the current fiscal year, India had revised Nepal's assistance upward to 830 crore rupees, slightly higher than the original plan. Among neighboring countries, Bhutan will receive the largest share of Indian grants at 2,288 crore rupees. Other countries listed for assistance include Maldives, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, several African nations, and Mongolia.
