@stooeyswrld: The most authentic place I ate at in Budapest. I ate at Frici Papa and it felt real in the best way. Affordable, traditional, no frills Hungarian food that locals actually eat. I ordered rakott krumpli. Way too much potato for a morning meal but I ate it anyway because I paid for it and immediately needed a nap. My boyfriend ordered gulyás and it was genuinely delicious, even if I only got a few spoonfuls before handing it back. It is not the best food you will ever eat, but it is honest, comforting, and worth trying once.
