My daughters best friend is Muslim, we aren’t, she was so worried at Christmas that Santa wouldn’t bring her best friend a present. Me and the girls mum explained that not everyone celebrates Christmas and her friend and sister will get a present at eid. I was worried it would make her question Santa but she was just relieved that her friend would get a present on her own celebration. This is such a wonderful idea you have done

This is 100% how we teach our children that we are all the same underneath and the kids that came will learn an understanding and tolerance that last a lifetime. Can I bring my sons next year 😂? My son’s class teacher is Muslim and she’s so lovely. I didn’t send her a Christmas gift because I didn’t want to offend her when she clearly doesn’t celebrate but I want to send her something for Eid but I’m nervous to get it wrong. I need a friend like you to have a party and teach me about your religion and culture 🥰

Awww I’m a mixed child and when I was a kid there weren’t many decorations for Eid or Ramadan around but my mum used to make them for me and my siblings, your kids won’t ever forget this 🩷

I loooove celebrating other cultures and religions. I celebrate Christmas as well as Ramadan. I was raised Catholic but am Islam curious and enjoy exposing myself to it, educating myself etc.
