Or, if you want to put more effort into it, make a jungle tree farm and a charcoal smeltery to get charcoal blocks, which smelt even more than even dried kelp blocks.

I tried it, it was soooo slow brooo. And you need to smelt the kelp using kelp block. Then 1 kelp block can only smelt 20 items, then repeat... 💃
