I am honestly exhausted of people labeling Santa Muerte as something evil when they have no real understanding of who she is. Santa Muerte is not bad, she is not malicious, she is sacred, powerful, and deeply loving. The truth is very simple: if you choose to make her a promise, then you must keep it. Do not give her empty words just to gain her favor, because she deserves honesty and respect. If you already know you cannot deliver on what you promise, then don’t promise her anything at all. She is respectful, she loves her devotees with the deepest part of her soul, and she embraces us like a mother would her children. I have personally experienced countless blessings and beautiful moments with her presence in my life. She guides, protects, and teaches, but above all, she gives her love without judgment to those who truly walk with her in faith. Yes, there are people who misuse her name and energy for harm, but that says everything about the person and nothing about her. Just like any spiritual force, she reflects the heart of the one who calls upon her. Santa Muerte is not evil, she is pure truth, loyalty, and love. And those who disrespect her or twist her image will never understand the power and light she holds for her true devotees.

I’ve been a devotee of the Santa Muerte for 12 years now and my relationship with God is stronger and I have become a better person because of my relationship being closer with God and my relationship with my Santa Muerte. All my prayers begin with God and then asking permission to pray to la Santa Muerte. Any faith can be good or bad, it’s what you do with it that makes you a better or worse person. She probably didn’t use the Santa Muerte for good like she claims.
