This game actually came out 2002. The HD remaster in 2015. Even the 2002 game was a huge leap in graphic visuals for its time. Even the GameCube game holds up today. (Not trying to sound pretentious fyi)

I played both the original and the remake. The original is still fun and has it's charm and sound track but the remake is amazing.

It's a 2002 remake. The 2015 version only added a 16:9 aspect ratio, resolution for the models and a new controller settings that makes the game absolutely easier. The textures look the same.

я посмотрел прохождение ремастера 1 резика и какие там красивые локации комнаты все очень хорошо деталезировано и еще свет так красиво падает очень много мелких деталей

The original one holds fond memories for me as I played it as a child. But i can't deny the remaster/remake was definitely necessary.
