I dont think alot in these comments understand how difficult asphalt is to even move once it gets cold or not at the right temperature which is what he means about being beat at the end of the day and knowing how to shovel first so you dont make it difficult for the person behind you

as a concrete finisher if your on a rake all day or shovel you get used to it. nothing is hard you just make it hard on yourself.

everything he says its true,theirs alot of thought that gose into what we do,but now a days everybody skips the bottom STEP to be operators,thats something that should be earned.im always willing to teach,thats why i have a shovel, in my hand.👍💪

Everything you told em is exactly right! I learned that shovel in less than 6 months and still didnt touch the rake til like 1 year now i wanna learn to run the paver. Got the roller down etc
