gosh dang it I grew up in a time when there was no check engine light I could just feel when my car was missing and then I would diagnose it myself nine times out of 10 it was really easy to fix spark plug spark plug wire points condenser you get the picture. nowadays these guys have to have fucking computer and other bullshit that goes along with it that cost you thousands of dollars to diagnose the damn thing.

I just bought a 2020 Ford expedition for my wife. First car I’ve ever got a loan on. Against my better judgment, and whatever everybody says, including some of y’all‘s prior videos, the eco-boost is not the best. It has right at 100,000 miles on it. Just had a new transmission put in it. They tried to sell me a warranty for 50,000 miles but it was $10,000. From a Ford dealership.

It's likely not lighting the check engine light because the misfire is not "bad" enough to affect the catalytic converter and/or fuel economy.

I like the long videos, and yes, I want to know why the check engine didn't go off.

I just recently had a miss in my 2008 Ford Taurus limited and my check engine light never came on but I noticed it right away and fixed it so that might have had something to do with it

I have a 2025 ram 2500 that through P06BB CODE. Took it to the dealership just to have them tell me it needed a upgrade to the computer. And the code went away before I got it to the dealer

A few years ago on my way to work my Trax felt like it was misfiring. I immediately called my neighbor who was a mechanic. He drove it and felt the misfiring. The light never came on until he floored it up the hill in our neighborhood and at that point it was flashing. You can't always trust the lights.

Anything to avoid warranty work. Once the warranty is up, the dealership will be happy to find the issue and even repair it for a premium. I’d bet on it
