@jourdanthibodeaux: Nothing great is built on hate. I sincerely hope you watch this until the end and do some deep thinking. Seems like a lot of people have forgotten where we come from. Hopefully a little reminder will help. #louisiana #cajun #History #lesson #reminder

Thank you. I've been trying to relearn my heritage because I was adopted. I feel guilty calling myself Cajun. Ancestry helped, seeing my DNA actually say I am. I can trace my ancestors tracks from France, to Acadie, to Louisiana. I am grateful for your education.

as an acadian, i’ve been told my french is “not good enough” my whole life. my grandparents weren’t allowed to speak french at work for a long time. our french may be different but we are all real francophones and stand together.

Hello. My father was killed when I was a baby. He was born and raised in Louisiana. I did ancestry dna and I have stronger Acadian Quebec background than anything. I know nothing about Cajun culture but I’ve always been pulled towards Louisiana so I decided to do my own research since he isn’t here anymore to help me understand my bloodline. Thank you for this so much💜⚜️
