@just.em.brace.it: PSA: if you can do these things it is best to avoid it as much as possible! Pushing your joints beyond the normal range of motion, especially repeatedly can cause damage! I do not do these things often & displayed it for this video, for educational purposes only :) Hypermobility occurs in 20% of the world population & is often benign (especially when it only shows up in 1 or 2 joints!) There are also a number of connective tissue disorders that can cause hypermobility.
It’s crazy because I’m not flexible but I am hyper mobile. I can’t to a split but I can put sunscreen on every inch of my back all alone and didn’t realize that was weird.

All fun and party tricks till you get older and no one prepared me for the pain this brings. My head literally feels to heavy to carry, every part of my body aches and I have so many other issues 😭

I am not super hypermobile anymore because of my neuro issues and had doctors tell me that meant I had grown out of my eds.
*I in fact had not and just had a compressed brainstem*

I can do 80% of the things you showed but all my doctor wants to see is my thumb touching my wrist and it’s one of the only things I can’t do. 🙄

Until my diagnosis I’d been told I wasn’t hyper mobile. I struggled to touch the floor with my legs straight. But I can do all this as you do or more extreme 😬. Relying on the medical system is scary.
