I'm not familiar with student loans (was very lucky to have parents paid off tuition and living expenses) so anyone could explain to me how this works, and what does it consist of that costs so much? I've been seeing £80-90k like wth

AND, most people don’t realise that the interest starts racking up from day 1 of when you start your first year. So on top of having to pay the loan back you will also have accrued 3/4 years worth of interest, which will continue to accrue when you eventually start paying it back 🥲

honestly I don't even stress myself looking anymore, it's just an ever increasing debt that nobody should pay off in one go because over half of it is just interest and you'll be paying more than you got out

Yeah this is nuts. But perspective is everything, have you seen the cost of uni in America? 😂 40K a year and that doesn’t include housing or on campus meal plans. Then they have the nerve to make us stay for 4 years AND make student loans directly impact your credit score so you have to pay once you graduate or you suffer the consequences…
