however some performance issues are laziness, lack of professional managerial maturity (gossiping, sharing information not appropriate for a lower level leader to share with no management associates). Going through this now with a leader that should not be a leader.

managers aren't there to help mentor you they are there to help hold policy.

Glad I ran into this video, how do I get my co-workers to tell me what is really happening… I’ve tried asking but they only respond with “I’ll do better” but I’m not asking them to do better I’m asking what happened? What do I need to change? What works for them to complete a task in a timely manner.

I didn't do well in my last job, and my manager was always telling the team to come to him for help if we're not meeting goal, but he was so intimidating, we didn't have a great working relationship, and most of the advice he did give wasn't helpful.
