How do you know it’s time to go? I feel like I’m in the same boat. I do not like the person I’ve become. We got together very young and have two children.. we both see individual therapists and a couples therapist. Was there a specific reason you don’t think you could’ve worked through it while still together? I’m struggling to know how long we should continue fighting. This isn’t what I want for my children’s childhood but I do see a future with him in a healthy way. We’re both continuing to fight but I feel like the progress is very little for the amount of time we’ve been working on it.

when I decided that I was going to file for divorce from my husband who had been cheating on me for 7 and 1/2 years out of 8 years of our relationship I grew a backbone and I became somebody I knew I wanted to be. when I was with him, I tried to contort myself into who he wanted me to be. but now I have that voice and I have that backbone, I like who I am now.
