To all the people saying it just makes a smaller gap, you bend the little tabs toward the side that overhangs the counter to put pressure toward the stove creating a snug fit eliminating the gap.

This one is much better than the silicone one I bought before. The silicone one gets dirty easily and is difficult to clean. I bought this one and it works great.

I just pull my stove out and clean it and I sweep and mop underneath where my stove was too. If I know it’s dirty my house isn’t clean to me.

There are tabs on the side that you bend out a little. That will push it snug against the stove. Mine look really good no gap.
