@ahowes15: ⛰️OFFICIAL AT ANNOUNCEMENT ⛰️ In almost exactly one month from today I will be stepping out of my old life and stepping into a new one. Or rather, stepping onto a new one. I will be taking on a long time dream. To hike 2,194 miles from Georgia to Maine via the Appalachian Trail. I have the incredible opportunity to blog for the @thetrek.co which has played a crucial role in inspiring me to take on this endeavor. This trip is more than a “long vacation” and even more than just a walk in the woods. This is about experience, about proving to myself that I can accomplish my goals in the face of adversity, and most importantly, it’s about connection. Connection with nature, with our Creator, and with others walking the same steps as I. To finally close a long chapter of my life and begin to write a new one. I will be filming and writing with the goal of posting a documentary upon completion. To those who have supported me in this, I want to say thank you. Thank you for seeing that I am capable of more, thank you for pouring into me even when this trek terrifies you, and thank you for holding me accountable as the days tick down to departure.
