If you think your back is too wide, then you need to rebalance your WHOLE body, not just your back. First of all, stop overdoing back volume. Stop doing junk volume ALL THE TIME. Less is more. Pull-ups, pulldowns, pullovers, that’s exactly why your back is wide, and it’s just a waste of energy doing the same movements for 12 SETS. That’s INSANE. Same thing goes for many other muscles btw, too much redundancy will not lead to muscle gain it’s a waste of energy. Focus on building lower body volume and more width specifically (outer quads which is the vastus lateralis, and the glutes, the 3 parts should be maximized) Work on the right parts of your back for depth (mid traps, lower traps, erectors) and deprioritize what’s causing width. Train your shoulders so they sit higher than your upper traps, otherwise you’ll get that rounded curve at the top I had. It’s MUCH more than just a back routine. A back routine won’t do anything without all the other routines, even push is important to fix your posture. Also please, if you have a male coach, let him know about lats and upper traps. Men will train you with what they think is a balanced shape from their point of view (they only care about wide lats and big traps) i am a PT and 3 different girls this year came to me at my gym to hire me, literally saying that men colleagues made their back too wide. That’s actually why I thought about my program, i had already fixed my issue but i wasn’t even aware that many girls faced this too.
