My birthday was in freshers week… it was kind of lonely not to be at home with my family, but also really nice as lots of my new friends came and sang happy birthday and my parents gave me money to buy a cake and sent some candles! And then we went out clubbing at the student union which was fun!

I had my birthday on my 3rd day of uni when I was in first year, it just kinda sucked as I hadn’t really made friends yet, it was definitely better in 2nd and 3rd year when my friends then did something with me

mine was on my first day of lectures in first year. I barely knew anyone but my flatmates surprised me with a cake and a happy birthday sign scrawled on lined paper 😂😂 it was amazing and we've done the same for everyone else's birthdays

my birthday was a couple weeks ago and it was genuinely the best birthday i’ve ever had!! i told my friends i struggle with my birthday and they pulled through, they bought and decorated a cake for me and we had such a fun night out

I had one during the lockdown era at uni - family couldn’t visit me obviously. They sent me flowers and cake through the post and I absolutely balled my eyes out 😅🥹
