Do you know anywhere first years can get the as3000 at a reasonable price? $200+ for a workbook is a bit steep when you have the rest of the bills to pay 🫠

Hi I’m a 17 year old and I am currently half way through my 3rd year as a fitter machinist I love the work I do and the company and I dont want to ever leave and also I want to have more skills. However their isn’t to many other tradesman’s that want to do the work I do because its to hot for them their to old they cant get into tight spaces and they dont wanna do overtime or be in a dust shitty environment which is fine I don’t mind that work I like being left alone to figure stuff out and be able to get straight into it not waiting on other people ect but the one thing I can’t do is electrical because we are not aloud to the work I do is mostly maintenance and breakdowns and when I come across somthing that is an electrical fault I can’t fix it and get stuff running again or even for fault finding ect so I was wondering if anyone knows if I can do anything to be able to do that without having to do an apprenticeship like is their any certs or tests or anything I can do after work for a few hours to be able to qualified to do that work. Also I do want it because when somthing is broken and it’s not to complicated they usually keep it quite and get you to do it anyways but if anything was to go wrong one day I would like to be covered in a way if you know what I mean any help or feedback would be much appreciated thanks

Hey mate, just a question about the hiring process. I’m 23 and I’ve been looking for an apprenticeship for a few months in SA now. After completing my certificate 2, white card and work experience I keep receiving “ you’re on our whiteboard for future opportunities” emails back and I’m just wondering if there’s anything else I could possibly do to help my case?
