I was told about a year and a half to get all your range of motion back but if you don’t do some of these exercises on your own you’re not gonna get close to full range of motion nobody tells you to do it on your own but you should it’s been about 8 1/2 months since I had the surgery and I didn’t see much progress for about 5 1/2 months and then the last three months I’ve made giant strides like I’ve turned the corner I’m not gonna lift anything remotely heavy for another four months make sure it’s been a year everybody’s different and it depends on how old you are and how bad the tear is the key is to find the best physical therapist you can get he or she can make a big difference

I just hit 1 year on Feb 13 ,ROM is greatttt I was weak for so long,but I am GREAT now. but it was a longggggg road.

Oh jeez,I was told I had a full tear but I think it was just tendonitis because I feel good…after hearing this I’m limiting what I do with my arm esp since it’s my dominant arm.. who will put my hair up for me 😟😟😟

I started PT 3 days post op…8 weeks later I had 95% range of motion! I had rotator cuff, bicep and above wrist surgery!

I am 9 months post op from rotator cuff and bicep 💪 surgery and I am still working on strength and mobility behind my back and that is the hardest to get back. it definitely is a long recovery but so worth having it done.

I injured myself at work and had surgery. After 5 months, the doctor said I could return to work and lift 40 lbs, and I told him that wasn't possible

12 weeks postop and I can reach the middle shelf of my kitchen cabinets but can only lift about 5 lbs. Very little pain. I have recovered extremely quickly but I did PT just prior to surgery.

I guess everyone different but had mine done in my 40's and bout 3 months I was pretty good...idc what they say you have to get it moving

At least you tell your patience that my orthopedic doctor just said I don’t know. We’ll have to see when I get in there. I own my own business so everything depends on my recovery so I have to plan it out. Currently looking for an orthopedic doctor.
