My wife was in the hospital around Christmas time and I was constantly asked who I was or I asked to leave and would have to prove I was her wife. My gay best friend, who is a man, came to the hospital, and we had 3 people ask if he was her husband. I really felt invisible and it was scary since she was there for a life threatening condition.

The issue is constantly having to “come out” to people. Draw your own conclusions please for the love of god. People ask my wife and I if the ticket is together or separate at restaurants all the time. We’re at the table sitting on the same side holding hands. Clearly together. Why ask that?!
