Pouring hot espresso into ice cold milk is crazy. Should be mixed with milk and then poured into ice.

It’s always funny seeing all the comments, everyone knows this isn’t a traditional macchiato, if you want a traditional one just say macchiato you’ll get shots with a little foam. She said ice caramel macchiato because they are two different drinks. Coffee evolves just like everything’s else in the world. It’s really not that serious most shops teach you how to make them both ways to reach all customers that come through and each shop makes them a little different.

this is the reason why everyone at my company hates when someone asks for a macchiato. we'll say we serve traditional macchiatos and then explain what we do and customers will still be confused when we hand them the drink after they say that a traditional is ok. traditionally a macchiato is just espresso and froth vastly different then what's popular now
