For those wondering: the fictional species of Carnotaurus is just the skeleton. It’s just a T.rex body with a Carnotaurus head. They named it: “Carnotaurus robustus floridaensis”. Which is not an actual species under the Carnotaurus genus.

So fun fact the ride came before Dinosaur, of course it was supposed to tie in with the movie when the dinosaur expansion of Animal Kingdom was being built but it was originally called Countdown to Extinction, I highly recommend you find the few recordings of it because it was different than Dinosaur in its details

I rode it when I was little and got a carnotaurus toy which, true to the movie, was bigger than all my other dinosaur toys. It was a really strange toy. It was stuffed(?) but had a rubber exterior. It was a very unique toy and I've never seen another toy that had a similar feel to it.

Carnotaurus is not a myth. It’s not a fake creature it did exist. What is fake is the depiction that they depicted in the media and pop culture that that depiction is but the creature itself isn’t.😭 so because of pop culture and Disney and Miko Creighton’s Jurassic World books the Carnotaurus is gotten a rap for being fictional😭
