Don't go to Jalan Alor, go where the locals go Kampung Baru ( everyday) and Saturday night market at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman night market (Jalan TAR), then walk Masjif Jamek near by day for the beautiful Moorish court yard and garden, night for night show near the river. And stay in Bangi for beautiful cafes and food from around the world and no traffic. And go to equine park in Putrajaya, to see horses or polo match while u eat at a cafe feeling fabulous.

if you go to KLCC, go into Suria (the mall), go to the top level..4th ? 5th?.. same level as Petrosains, there's Galeri Petronas. its free entrance. also, can window shopping at Kinokuniya. a bookstore. outside of KLCC, nearby got Pintasan Saloma, nice view. and connecting to Kampung Baru. if you want Malay / local food

Search for 'nasi kerabu maksu nab' go there and eat it with grilled fat.. Or you can try kueh 'seri muka', 'akok', nasi dagang, laksam/laksa. And when the night comes, goes to bukit antarabangsa to see kl city from uphill

If you go to kl sentral, u just walk to nu sentral (besides kl sentral) go to lower floor and find milk & barley shop. The tart was very good. The barley milk also not bad.

Take the MRT Kajang Line to Kajang Stadium. Beside the MRT station is a large restaurant selling sate/Satay. it's one of the best Malaysian delicacies. Satay Haji SAMURI. you'll love it

There are so many free attraction spots in KL. You might want to go to Bird Park, Orchid Park, Butterfly Park, Perdana Botani Lake Park all within literally same area. Might want to go to National Art Gallery also free entry.
