I remember in the first film that Emily had to memorize all the guests names for Miranda. Nothing changed.

I fear the youths have no media literacy.

It’s a total call out on Anna Wintour not remembering her former assistant, Lauren Weisberger, who wrote the 2003 The Devil Wears Prada.

As someone who has worked in fashion, this is very common.

I think it’s because Meryl is playing it in a vulnerable way - wide eyes instead of squinting at her. In the Milan scene she looks fragile. She’s not being hard and stoic - she seems vulnerable

Do we not remember the elevator scene from the initial teaser when Miranda says "Took you long enough!", when Andy got on? She knows her.

Even worse, this is going to be very mediocre. It’ll have some red meat for the fan base to focus on but it’ll be a solid 5 or 6/10 which is a waste for this cast.

The scene at night is show in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. I am slso suprised people dont understand this out of the like 8 months that Andy worked for Miranda, Miranda didnt know her name for half of them? And all of a sudden people think its wierd she doesnt know Andy after not having seen or worked with her for 20 YEARS! like Andy dropped off all the fashion week looks to Emiliys place at the end of the first movie, also Andy and Nigel probably stayed somewhat in contact, maybe Andy and Emily also for a short while

I think it’s a bad trailer, but I think your take is right. It’s also indicating possibly the revolving door nature of the fashion industry and the fact that even though it may have been a big chapter in Andy’s life , it was just another blip in Miranda’s.

You’re kidding. People actually think this trailer, which is totally about the fact Miranda Priestley never remembered the “underlings”, is about her being senile?
