i'm not a veteran but i was taught about the zipper merge in driver's ed. and then was subsequently told that nobody fucking does it and i shouldn't try unless it's already happening because, and i quote "people don't pay fucking attention and treat the road like their own personal obstacle course" -Cole, my driving instructor

any time i try to let one car in three others try to do the same thing like "oh this person is nice" like no. this person knows that if you do the zipper effect itll clear out faster and cleaner. but nah, gotta be "me first" every time

I am a civilian who recently took my driving test; it us in the test! You are supposed to know how to zipper in. But nooooo they create traffic by not letting someone in or try to get in as soon as they get on the on ramp.
