Abby :
There’s a teacher at my school who won’t retire because his ex wife would get half his retirement money. A direct quote from him “I would rather have a stroke and die in this school then let that woman have 1 cent of my money” he’s also the oldest teacher in our state.

Our Wood shop teacher was so old. He was in the book he was teaching us out of. And I'm not joking.

One time I was talking about how strict my 7th grade science teacher was, said his name and both my mom and dad were like "Wait he's still alive? He taught me science in 7th grade"

I had a high school teacher who taught my grandfather in high school. He would fall asleep in class regularly and every assignment was worth 3 points.

I had a teacher who was literally the oldest teacher in the world (Guinness World Record holder) at 105. He said if he retired he would probably die. He retired to his priesthood's vinyard and died a year later. Extraordinary man.

I had a teacher take over for a mid year departure. American Government. He walked in and immediately said, “I’m not teaching that, we’re going to talk about the stock market.” And that’s how my American government class turned into a class all about picking the best penny stocks. I got an A.

There’s a teacher at the school that I went to who’s been teaching for 64 years. She might potentially beat the Guinness world record holder just by outliving them.
